It’s our pleasure to welcome you to Liberty Baptist Church. We’re so glad to see you and hope you are blessed today as we worship the Lord together. Please plan to stay for a short time of fellowship and donuts immediately following the service. It would be great to get to know you better. If you are a new visitor, feel free to grab a welcome bag which is located on the bottom shelf of the “Welcome” table in the entrance vestibule. If you would take a few minutes before the service to fill out the Information Card inside the welcome bag and place it in the box on the “Welcome” Table, it would be greatly appreciated.
IT’S TIME TO SIGN UP FOR OUR NEXT FIFTH SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON WHICH IS SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, AUGUST 30TH:
We will be doing things a little different by traveling to Red Run Park (reserved Pavilion) to enjoy a good, old-fashioned picnic there. So, start thinking about what type of picnic foods you can plan to bring for all to enjoy. Also, if you have a corn hole game, baseball glove, or other outdoor games/equipment, please plan to bring those items as well. Please sign up on the Fifth Sunday sign up sheet located on the Missions Table.
NIGHT OF PRAISE & WORSHIP WITH LBC & HOLY CITY MOTORCYCLE MINISTRY:
Saturday August 29th, 4-8 p.m. Volunteers may still be necessary to help with attendee parking, direction to worship area, and praying with people who may request prayer throughout the service. Please speak with Pastor Rodney if you think you can assist.
GREAT SUGGESTION:
A suggestion was recently received that we consider holding a potluck style dinner one Wednesday evening a month as we gather for our Wednesday evening Study & Prayer service. We’d love to give this a try and will select the 2nd Wednesday of each month to hold this potluck dinner beginning in the month of September. Whether we eat before or after the service has not yet been decided so if you have a suggestion on what works best, please see Jeanne. Been thinking that each person or family that attends, should plan to bring a dish or some sort (casserole, side dish, or salad). This will be a true potluck; what we end up with that evening is what will be served. Perhaps we should skip the desserts??? Your thoughts and further suggestions will be appreciated. Will be back in touch with additional info before the first potluck on Wednesday, September 9th.
FAITH BIBLE INSTITUTE:
Next Sunday, August 16th, 5:00 p.m. is the beginning of the Fall/Winter Semester of Faith Bible Institute. Just a reminder that you may attend the first and/or second class of the semester free of charge if you are interested in seeing how the class is taught. Even if you decide that you can’t attend the full semester, you are encouraged to take this opportunity to dive deeper into the Bible for the three hours of the class.
